There are studies that prove that one\u2019s life can be lived according to their religious beliefs, and these people are generally happier, well-rounded, and even healthier, but what happens when religious beliefs are used to justify criminal behaviour or legal statutes? \n\nReligious texts are used to justify crimes of all kinds, from abortion to incest, from domestic violence to child abuse, it\u2019s even used to justify child brides and terrorism attacks. Governments have used it to justify the slave trade, outlaw abortion, and even the persecution of homosexuals, religious texts and governmental statutes know no bounds when one hears of a new law that may not make sense, but religious justification can be traced to the formation of many countries and form the basis of many atrocities\n\nShould our rights and responsibilities be governed by religious texts and dogma, or should we use common sense to dictate how we live?\n\nOur panel discusses this topic and how they feel about criminals using religious texts to justify their crimes, and allow governments to enact laws that seem to go against moral thought.\n\nShould we, as a civilization trust that religious texts offer people the guidelines by which they live, or should separation of church and state be among the first tenets people should be forced to observe?\n\nJoin our panel, on Saturday, 4:00 pm (EST), 1:00 pm (PST), 9:00 pm (GMT), as our panel gives their perspective on this increasing tenet of society that seems to be making a comeback in the world.\n\nThe Blind Perspective is an interactive show, allowing for the participation of the audience.
