Victor will review all of the features that were nominated, culminating in a review of the best picture winner. For those who caught the Oscars when they were broadcast, they may already know who won the best picture Oscar, however, that does not matter, because on this show, Victor picks the best picture winner. You will see reviews of the following nominees:

Coda (2021)

Dune (2021)

King Richard (2021)

Licorice Pizza (2021)

Nightmare Alley (2021)

Power of the Dog (2021

West Side Story (2021)

And on todays feature, Victor brings you a review of Belfast, which touches on the unsettled trouble Ireland saw in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. These years saw riots and beatings, and unjust actions on both parts of the spectrum, but amidst all of this mayhem, a family is trying to live their lives as best they can. The shortage of work and the violence made for an uncertain time for the residents of Ireland, and in particular, Belfast, the city at the heart of the uncertainty.

This movie stars Ciar\xe1n Hinds, and Judy Dench, the older generation in the family, and Jamie Dornan and Caitr\xedona Balfe, as the younger generation caught in the midst of trying to keep their family together with all the trouble nipping at their heels, and finally, the main star of the movie, and the actor that steals the show, Jude Hill, as the child of the family. In fact, they say that the character of Buddy, whom Jude Hill portrays, is a diminutive version of Kenneth Branagh, giving us a glimpse into Branagh’s childhood amidst all the strife and uncertainty.

Watch and listen to Victor’s review of television shows, and movies that are released with description for the blind, and he lets you know if the feature is a grand watch, or something that should be left in the discount bin at your local video store.
