The Titanic was known as the unsinkable ship, so the ships crew ignored warnings of the icebergs in their path.

Have you ever wondered why otherwise intelligent, sensible, and generally normal individuals can make really stupid decisions?

Captain Edward Smith of the Titanic said he could not, "imagine any condition which would cause a ship to founder. Modern shipbuilding has gone beyond that."\\xa0 \\xa0What could have been said to try and get Captain Smith to change the ships course or speed.
