The function of education
\u201cThe function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character \u2013 that is the goal of true education.\u201d\n\nWe should always be learning. We learn about others. We learn about ourselves. I have known highly educated people with little character. When I worked with selfish or egotistical ministers or narcissistic and small-minded professors with their Ph.D.\u2019s and specialties, I was always surprised, sometimes disillusioned. There is more to learning than facts and the accumulation of knowledge that goes into building true knowledge. Perhaps that is why you\u2019re here, visiting this book regularly. \n\nWhat does it mean to live a virtuous life?
