I think that\u2019s the motivation behind the book, to serve as an example for others who may not have the platform, privilege, or courage to put his struggles on display. We have explored faith\u2019s tenuous relationship to doubt in previous readings. This puts the paradoxical battle and the intensity of the inner work in a different light. It is in fact necessary to have the struggle if what you\u2019ve achieved afterwards is to have any value or depth.
