Jake Reisdorf - Carmel Honey Company grew out of a passion for bees and good grades. Carmel Honey Company began as a \\u201creal world\\u201d homework assignment in 5th grade. Jake not only got an A on the project, but he created a business. Jake quickly discovered that he really enjoyed sharing his honey bee knowledge with classrooms and the community. Jake is currently a Senior at Carmel High School and continues to tend bees in Monterey County and build the Carmel Honey Company brand. 

Richard Bates is a boardmember at Fire Safe Council for Monterey - The council is a non-profit corporation committed to protecting lives and property from harm by wildfires, and to educating the public on wildfire dangers and how to reduce them. The council supports projects that help make homes, neighborhoods, and communities fire safe by management of natural and man-made resources.
