For this special episode, we interview Kirk Judd, Dr. Barbara Smith and Dolly Withrow, each counted among the charter members of WV Writers and longtime friends of Mrs. Campbell.

\\nWe speak to them about Mrs. Campbell\'s many accomplishments in promoting the writing and writers of WV, her role as the driving force in the creation of West Virginia Writers, Inc., her co-founding of Mountain State Press, her own writing career and many publications, what she was like as a person, and her role in mentoring many of the finest writers of our state and beyond.

\\ni was a budding writer in her fold ~
\\nwhen i got into My.th day/nights
\\ni would send her my papers ~

\\nat the wvw ink i would sit with her
\\n& go over them ~ she said two things ~
\\na thousand years is not a very long time &
\\n
\\ndo you think if i had gone to the
\\nuniversity of virginia i could understand
\\nyour My.th ?

\\nwhen i had my hernia Repaired she held
\\nher second Hill & Valley party ~ i phoned
\\nher & declined ~ she said that in her business
\\n
\\na hernia was not even considered a disability ~
\\ni stayed home & sulked ~
\\nshe said she used to have a public speaking
\\n
\\nvoice but when i knew her it had cracked ~
\\nEd ~ her husband ~ gave me a walking stick
\\nwith a head carved on one end ~ i can see it

\\nnow in the cane &umbrella stand ~one day
\\ni said to Shirley ~ i am being discovered ~
