What Does the Research Tell Us About the Benefits of Gratitude? (Heather Craig, Ep 163)

Published: Jan. 18, 2022, 1 p.m.

Heather Craig wrote a fantastic article about the research behind the benefits of gratitude, and I invited her to discuss this research on the podcast. What I didn\u2019t know is that Heather has a deeply personal gratitude practice and an incredible story of her own battle with anorexia nervosa. Content warning \u2013 as Heather bravely shares her story and how she almost took her own life. Heather used many gratitude tools, as well as keeping a Happiness Diary (Gretchen Rubin) as part of her recovery. Heather Craig, BPsySc. (Hons), is a provisional psychologist, Monash University, Melbourne, Victoria. Her current research projects investigate the relationship between optimism and health outcomes in older Australian adults. https://positivepsychology.com/gratitude-research/
