Here\'s a crazy little story that came out of Africa. As always, with these types of stories, the origins are impossible to pin down. It\'s a tale about knowing when to shut up!

"This happened somewhere in Africa a long, long time ago...
A hunter went into the bush. He while he was there, he found an old human skull. The hunter had had a long, lonely day, so he said\\u2026 as you do\\u2026: \\u201cWhat brought you here?\\u201d
To his surprise, the skull answered! It said: \\u201cTalking brought me here.\\u201d
The hunter was stunned and amazed! A talking skull!!!
He ran off. He had to tell someone! He had to tell the king!
So when he got to his village he told the king that he had found a dry human skull in the bush and that it spoke to him!
The king wouldn\\u2019t believe him: \\u201cNever since my mother bore me have I heard of a talking skull.\\u201d
The king summoned his advisors and asked them if they\\u2019d ever heard of a talking skull and none of them had. So the king decided to send a guard out with the hunter to find out if it\\u2019s true. The guard had instructions from the king to kill the hunter on the spot if it turned out to be a lie.
So the guard and the hunter went back into the bush and after a time, they come to the skull. The hunter addressed the skull: \\u201cSkull, I\\u2019m back. Speak.\\u201d The skull was silent. The hunter asked as he did before: \\u201cWhat brought you here?\\u201d The skull lay still and didn\\u2019t answer.
The whole day the hunter begged the skull to speak, but no matter what the hunter did, it wouldn\\u2019t answer.
As the sun began to set, the guard told the hunter he had one more chance to make the skull speak. The skull did not.
So without hesitation and in accordance with the king\\u2019s command, the guard cut off the hunter\\u2019s head.
When the guard was gone, and all was quiet, the skull finally opened its jaws and said to the dead hunter\\u2019s head: \\u201cSo\\u2026 what brought you here?\\u201d
The dead hunter\\u2019s head replied: \\u201cAre you kidding?! Talking brought me here!\\u201d
