VI Human Services Seeks Sponsors for Adopt-A-Family Campaign
b'The Virgin Islands Dept. of Human Services\\u2019 (VIDHS) Division of Children and Family Services is seeking sponsors for its annual Adopt-A-Family Holidays program.\\n\\nDuring the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, individuals, family members, friends, groups, schools, and organizations are asked to donate $80 to purchase a holiday meal or a gift certificate for families in the territory, according to a press release issued Wednesday by VIDHS.\\n\\nCommissioner-designee, Dr. Anita Roberts, Ph.D., said, \\u201cThis is the community\\u2019s opportunity to experience the joy of giving to those who are less fortunate by paying it forward and helping put a smile on the faces of the children who otherwise may not have a positive experience during the holidays. The families are very appreciative of the kindness that is shown to them.\\u201d \\n\\nThe deadline for submitting contributions for Thanksgiving is Nov. 17th.
