b'Caribbean roots began for Nicola Emerich\\xa0\\u2013 known to most as Nikki, in 1988, when she & her young family left New York & moved to St. Thomas, intending to stay just 2 years.\\xa0\\n\\nWhile in New York, Nikki was the Assistant Producer for Sardi\\u2019s Restaurant Murder on Broadway dinner-theater. At the same time, she also joined New York\\u2019s Ensemble Studio Theater as a freelance producer.\\xa0\\n\\nPrior to New York, Nikki founded Perseverance Theater in Juneau, Alaska, establishing it as a leading regional theater. While there, she produced the show YUPIK ANTIGINE, which traveled to La Mama, E.T.C. in New York, & the Theater of Nations in Nancy, France.\\xa0\\n\\nAn accomplished actor, Nikki\\u2019s credits include Off-Broadway in THE RIVER, performed extensively in TOTAL ECLIPSE; Arena Stage, New Playwright\\u2019s Theater; Studio Theater; Alaska Rep. the Kennedy Center Theater Lab.\\n\\nIn addition, she performed across several other platforms, including radio (Reader\\u2019s Theater) film, & video.\\xa0 In 1980, Nikki co-produced the original play, PRACTICE, moving it from Washington, DC\\u2019s New Playwright\\u2019s Theater to Off Broadway, Perry Street Theater.\\xa0 In 1991, Nikki was 1 of 4 founders of Pistarckle Theater.\\n\\nToday, 28 years & 153 productions later, Nikki remains very proud of the Pistarckle Theater staff, Resident Director, the Youth Education Program, & the body of work continuously produced & presented.\\n\\nVisit\\xa0the Pistarckle Theater at:\\xa0www.PistarckleTheater.com/'
