Having the lighting just right used to be a bigger issue than it is now. Facebook and YouTube Lives are much easier with your phone and you have tons of options for mic and lighting connections. (Take a look at Movo.) Ray’s not a fan of DSLRs for shooting videos. Phones give you way more options. Word to the wise from Ray, be careful using cheap, small laptops to shoot videos.
