Marissa starts her dive into the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences (CAAS) with Heather Lieber, a Registered Dietician at Harmons Grocery. This episode is jam-packed with useful information, including valuable out-of-classroom experiences, must-have's and nice-to-have's for dieticians, effective mediums for accessible nutrition education, and Heather's biggest lesson learned.

Heather made an impact on the USU Logan campus during her time as a student by fulfilling various roles, such as A Team Student Orientation member, Undergraduate Teaching Fellow and Teaching Assistant, and Academic Senator for CAAS. During that time, she was also a Class Instructor at Citrus Pear Dinners and held internships with University of Utah Health, Washington County School District, and Harmons Grocery. She began working as a full-time registered dietician at Harmons Grocery in 2019, where she maintains the Dietitians Choice product tagging program; delivers nutrition workshops on a variety of topics; develops and delivers themes, menus, and education for cooking classes with customers; and implements motivational interviewing skills in nutrition counseling appointments. Heather is passionate about motivational interviewing and combining the culinary arts with nutrition principles to diminish barriers to a healthy lifestyle.
