What Does It Mean To Be a Christian?
If you\u2019ve been a Christian for any amount of time, you\u2019ve probably heard someone say this:
\n\u201cI don\u2019t understand how someone who calls themselves a Christian could do that \u2026 agree with that \u2026 say that.\u201d
\nWe all have an idea of what following Jesus should look like, but our views are often shaped by our circumstances and the opinions of others. If we were to strip away outside influences, what would a follower of Jesus actually look like?
\nToday, let\u2019s explore three Bible passages and discover what it means to be a follower of Jesus. 1st Love God MATTHEW 22:36-40
\n\u201cTeacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?\u201d And he said to him, \u201cYou shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.\u201d 2nd Love Others 1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-8
\n"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends." 3rd Make Disciples MATTHEW 28:18-20
\n\u201cAll authority in heaven and earth has been give
\nn to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of every nation.
