After graduating from Arts Ed, George Crawford joined an acclaimed ensemble on tour with The Book of Mormon before the COVID-19 lockdowns hit. Now, he has joined the company of Waitress , serving as the role of Ogie. Since early September, George has been dazzling crowds with his natural charm and ability to perform Sara Bareilles' Tony nominated score with unflinching ease. The tour has so far been a triumph and George has gotten to star alongside a glittering cast with Lucie Jones starring as Jenna and Matt Jay Willis as Dr. Pomatter. It definitely seems to be a glorious return to the stage for all involved and the tour will be visiting venues near you soon.

In his first podcast interview, George Crawford sat down with us to talk about his first taste of working in musical theatre and what the show has meant to him. As an early fan of musical theatre, he had long aspired to join the ranks of Gene Kelly and talks to us about the other notable alumni of Arts Ed. At his core though, George reminds us that he still seems himself as a boy living his dreams. He tells us about encounters with fans of the show and and gives us an insight into rehearsing a musical during a pandemic. In the end, we feel assured that George will have a long and prosperous career and look forward to seeing what he does next.
