From Tragedy to the UNTHINKABLE: Mary's Bridge
In this episode, I am honored to host another guest willing to remove their armor to help other people. This episode's guest is U.S. Army Veteran and Founder of Mary's Bridge Rick Scheeler.
During this episode,\xa0 Rick discusses how the unexpected death of his daughter, Mary Viola Scheeler, inspired him to do the "UNTHINKABLE." He initially purchased eight acres about two miles from his home to heal from this tragic event. However, he decided to use the land to make a positive difference in people's lives.
Without knowing what he was getting into, he started a nonprofit in honor of Mary. Mary's Bridge nonprofit organization focuses on helping prisoners, from Lebanon Correctional Institution, Lebanon, Ohio, successfully reintegrate back to society.
