It's known as the most dangerous hotel in the world, but Frying Pan Tower once saved countless lives as ship navigators tried to avoid the Graveyard of the Atlantic off the North Carolina coast.

Built by the U.S. Coast Guard in the 1960s, it was abandoned, but now saved by a Charlotte man trying to restore it. We spend two nights on the tower to visit, explore and see it all firsthand as the efforts to preserve it continue before the rusty tower falls into the ocean with the countless shipwrecks nearby.\xa0\xa0
