A Year of COVID: How the Pandemic Shaped North Carolina

Published: March 10, 2021, 6 a.m.

A year after the COVID-19 pandemic gripped the state, we look back at the strides and struggles faced along the way and ahead to the days when this will all be part of the past.

As coronavirus cases quickly spread and Gov. Roy Cooper placed North Carolina in shutdown mode, everyone, including this podcast, had to promptly shift gears and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

On this week’s episode of Tying It Together With Tim Boyum, Tim catches up with three people featured on past episodes throughout the pandemic. Restaurant owner Leonardo WilliamsRabbi Eric Solomon, and COVID victim and “long hauler” Angie Daoud join us to talk about how they are doing today, what they have learned, and what they hope for in the next year.
