Dave got this story from Dr. Jack Wang, from whom he took a writing course in 2020 via Zoom. It was an excellent class and Jack was a great teacher. Jack teaches writing at Ithaca College. You can learn more about Jack here.

The story, Mud, was written by Geoffrey Forsyth, more about him here. It is only 990 words but very thought-provoking, dealing with loss and grief. A man, about to leave for work on a very important day at work for him, finds his dead grandmother, father, and wife in his house, covered with mud. How will he deal with the situation? Del and Dave discuss the story afterward.

Dave mentions a favorite movie on the same theme from 1990 called Truly, Madly, Deeply starring Juliet Stevenson as Nina and Alan Rickman as Jamie, her dead lover. Jamie's ghost appears in the midst of her despair. Find it, you'll like it.

Shifting gears, the Bucks discuss several "what are the odds?" travel adventures.
