THEY MADE IT!

Our loyal listeners know we\\u2019ve been following the plight of a Ukrainian family trying\\xa0 to get their daughter and her two children out of Ukraine and into the US. As indicated last week, the mission was a success but we had no details to share. Sunday, we visited the family and were able to conduct a short interview with them. To get you oriented, the parents, Genig and Irena, came to the US and then one of thir daughters, Ulyana came with her young son, Andriyan. Their other daughter, Halyna, remained in Ukraine with her husband and two daughters Yulia and Alina. It is Halyna and her daughters who fled Ukraine about six weeks ago. Ulyana and her boyfriend Eric did all the legwork and brainwork to make this happen. Understand this is a very condensed version of the ordeal. Offline, Eric told me about setbacks, disappointments, frustrations, and fears that were all overcome in the end due to their determination, good luck, and the kindness of others. I\\u2019ll put a link to a longer story in the Tampa Bay Times that has more detail [prior to arrival in USA]..
