Two Minutes in Trade - The USMCA Non-Preferential Rules of Origin - A Chance for Consistency

CBP has proposed expanding the use of the USMCA “part 102” rules of origin largely based on tariff shifts, instead of case by case rulings, to bring consistency into origin decision-making for exports from Mexico and Canada.  This only will happen if the trade files comments supporting the initiative by August 5th.
