How a background in education taught this Enablement leader to succeed

Published: Sept. 21, 2020, 7 p.m.

Shannon Hempel, M.Ed. came out of school with a degree in Education and followed it up, a few years later, with a M.Ed  in Educational/Instructional Media Design. During this conversation with The Collaborator, Shannon discusses how this background has shaped her approach to enablement and shares some great tips we can all learn from.

During this conversation, Shannon shared a number of great insights, but two that I want you to take away if no others:

1️⃣ Take a look at WiSE (Women in Sales Enablement).   I previously had the Fantastic Four Founding Females of WiSE on the show.  It's an amazing mission, find a way to support them.

2️⃣ Coaching must come from a place of empathy.  Over the last few months, Shannon has spent a lot of time in coaching sessions working on the basics of moving deals forward while also seeking to better understand and support sellers as real human beings (not simply quota-carrying automatons).  By building bridges, relationships, the power and value of the coaching have only increased.

Give a listen as Shannon shares a lot more value throughout.
