July truck tonnage rose 5.1% year-over-year, but dropped about 1% from June\u2019s number, per American Trucking Associations. The federation\u2019s chief economist, Bob Costello, said: \u201cWhile tonnage is much stronger than a year ago, the monthly gains have moderated as the year has gone on.
