2. Allyn Pierce's "Marshmallow Tundra"
Today, we have a really special story to share with you.
You probably already know about the horrible wildfires in California that spread so quickly, and you may even know that one town in particular – Paradise, CA – was almost completely decimated by these fires.
Allyn Pierce is one of the many citizens of Paradise who lost their house. The hospital that he and his wife worked in also burned down – but not before he helped get patients and co-workers out of there.
After narrowly escaping with his Tundra and the clothes on his back, Pierce posted an image of the damage his truck sustained to his Instagram (@the_pandra), where it went viral. It’s crispy, and it looks like a roasted marshmallow or s'mores!
In a time when we can’t have nice things on the internet, Pierce is a bright spot who we were truly honored to give a new 2019 Tundra TRD Pro to just 10 days later.
We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to sit down and talk to him about the experience, on location, in his new Tundra!
