READING PSALM 85
\nNew King James Version Prayer that the Lord Will Restore Favor to the Land
\nTo the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.\n85 Lord, You have been favorable to Your land;
\nYou have brought back the captivity of Jacob.
\n2 You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people;
\nYou have covered all their sin. Selah
\n3 You have taken away all Your wrath;
\nYou have turned from the fierceness of Your anger.
4 Restore us, O God of our salvation,
\nAnd cause Your anger toward us to cease.
\n5 Will You be angry with us forever?
\nWill You prolong Your anger to all generations?
\n6 Will You not revive us again,
\nThat Your people may rejoice in You?
\n7 Show us Your mercy, Lord,
\nAnd grant us Your salvation.
8 I will hear what God the Lord will speak,
\nFor He will speak peace
\nTo His people and to His saints;
\nBut let them not turn back to [a]folly.
\n9 Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him,
\nThat glory may dwell in our land.
10 Mercy and truth have met together;
\nRighteousness and peace have kissed.
\n11 Truth shall spring out of the earth,
\nAnd righteousness shall look down from heaven.
\n12 Yes, the Lord will give what is good;
\nAnd our land will yield its increase.
\n13 Righteousness will go before Him,
\nAnd shall make His footsteps our pathway.
