Why Being A Leader Requires Giving Up on Perfectionism

Do you ever find yourself trying to get it right? Trying to figure it all out? Do you always try to control the situation? Do you try to figure out the right answer? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you are like me and you will likely relate to what I share here. This was how I went about my life until three years ago, when the word 'leadership' became an important part of my vernacular, and has remained ever since. In this episode, I once again step out of what I perceived to be comfort zone and in doing so come to share the surprising ease that was created when I let go of getting it right. I look at being a leader when we let go of the pretence of professionalism and perfectionism that kills our aliveness in life. I share about the importance of creating alignment, and how when I move away from my core values, this tend to constrains my leadership. And I explain why giving up on perfectionism does not mean giving up on your ambition.
