What is Really Impacting Your Mental Health

Published: June 16, 2020, 11:58 p.m.

Have you ever described yourself as anxious? Have you ever said 'I am depressed'? Have you ever described your mental health as poor? If you answer 'yes' to any of these questions you are definitely going to want to listen closely. And even if you haven't answered 'yes' this episode is likely to give you access to better understand what is really impacting your loved one's mental health. In this episode, I explain why the language we use has the biggest impact on our experience of mental health. I explore how our perception of reality impacts our perception of mental health. I consider whether the standard medical approach to mental health is really serving us, whether labelling something as a  'disorder' is harmful, and I explore how to overcome depression and anxiety. The intention is that you are left clearer on how you can create power around your experience of mental health.
