Tonille Miller: It’s Time to Blend Marketing & HR

Published: March 26, 2020, 5 a.m.

An experienced HR executive, Adjunct Professor at Columbia University and transformational change champion, Tonille Miller has a breadth of experience that includes roles with some of the world’s leading consultancies, including PwC and KPMG.

And I couldn’t wait to pick her brain on the topic of communications strategy.

Corporate Marketing functions architect strategies that segment consumers using data, curate specific messages for each group & leverage multiple vehicles to disseminate information. So why do the majority of organisations insist on an internal communications strategy that leverages only email, company newsletters and intranets?

Tonille agrees, and shares her lessons from her own experiences to make the case for change.

As the Global VP of Culture & Employee Experience at Startek, Tonille looks at her employees as customers and strives to reach a level of engagement that only comes from honouring their unique differences. In doing so, she’s simultaneously informing, inspiring & engaging a workforce tasked with orchestrating the ideal customer experience at the point of conversation for their clients.
