Len Ptak: Tales from the Road

Published: Oct. 27, 2020, 9 a.m.

In this episode of Thinking Inside the Box, I chat with Len Ptak, an experienced global leader with a passion for inspiring others. For many years, Len lived the hybrid work / life many of us have now been thrust into; developing skills leading & deploying remote teams.

Len & I discuss management strategy & how to best manage remote teams, a circumstance that many leaders today are facing unexpectedly. And whether it’s keeping connection, managing performance or responding to more trying circumstances, it’s necessitating new skills.

From Len:

“In an office environment or in a, you know, a manufacturing plant environment where they're there every day are finding it very difficult to adjust the fact that staying home is actually the right thing to do. But the reality is. No we learned from those, you know, terms and times. And, uh, through my 25 years of working remotely, I've travelled around the world, working with clients onsite remotely. And I think the biggest change that I have noticed is that the environment in which we work today will never be the same”
