Laura is not really sure the exact day of her\xa0 last drink or drug. What she does\xa0 know is that she was\xa0 42 years old, in her\xa0 parent\u2019s care, and entered a treatment facility on July 3rd of 2012. She spent most of my life under the influence of mind altering substances and\xa0 functioned for a long time in that state. So long in fact that when she couldn\u2019t function, she didn\u2019t recognize that drugs and alcohol were the problem. She convinced herself that\xa0 life was just plain awful and I didn\u2019t want to live it.
Because of her\xa0 experiences she founded a non-profit recovery community organization called Synchronicity Recovery Foundation, Ltd. Their\xa0 mission is to provide an outlet for people seeking long term sobriety and more importantly thrive to become the best authentic version of themselves.
