Why our global community has helped Yasmin win a UN essay prize
First-year student Yasmin Afina explains what inspired her to explore the concept of global citizenship and multilingualism in a UN essay competition, and how her experiences at our culturally-diverse University shaped what she wrote. Yasmin, who is studying LLB English and French Law, is one of 10 winners in the English category and will travel to the United Nations' headquarters in New York in June to take part in a five-day international youth forum and present her work.
