Jim Sciutto is CNN\'s chief national security correspondent and co-anchor of CNN Newsroom. Sciutto previously served as ABC News\\u2019 senior foreign correspondent. As a foreign correspondent and in his other professional roles, Sciutto has traveled to and reported from more than 50 countries including Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan. His new book is \\u201cThe Madman Theory: Trump Takes On the World\\u201d.

Sciutto explains that there is no strategic logic or so-called \\u201cmadman theory\\u201d guiding Donald Trump and his control over the country\\u2019s foreign policy. Sciutto warns that America\\u2019s foreign policy is now guided by Donald Trump\\u2019s personal whims, delusions, authoritarianism, narcissism, greed, corruption, and personal fealty to Vladimir Putin. \\xa0

Jim Sciutto also details how Donald Trump has brought the United States to the brink of what could have been a horrible war with North Korea and Iran \\u2013 but it was only because the country\\u2019s senior military officials did not allow Trump to follow through on his worst impulses that disaster was avoided.
