What does 'conservative, not bitter' mean? Clearing up confusion. It's ok to be angry at what's happened (and is happening) to America- but we should not give up on America. I attended an event Friday where a Republican congressman spoke to the crowd. He told us, because of an obscure legislative rule, that they had to repeal & replace Obamacare at the same time. Why do Republicans always tell us what they cannot do? Democrats never do that - even if they have to act anti-constitutionally, which I'm not condoning by the way. GOP leadership is playing 'prevent offense.' Being 'conservative, not bitter' really means we're trying to be persuasive & win the political argument.
