For more than 5 years, the Millyard Brewery's Brewmaster, has done just that. Being a native New Hampshire man, he learnt his beer trade in the beer meca of Colorado. Now he is applying it right here in Nashua, creating some fantastic beer and the first Nano Brewery in town.

There is more to a beer company than just great beer. The business partners fulfill the other important pieces to the operation; sales, marketing and finance.

Together we have formed the ideal partnership, team and the ideal business; a local community brewery.

Bert's Better Beers' Draft Pick(s) of the Week:

NASHUA PALE ALE

Available year round (27IBU) (ABV 5.3%) So called because it is brewed with more lightly roasted "pale" malts and is a balanced brew with equal malt-to-hops. The hops are definitely present, but fairly moderate and the beer mellows over time. Your session ale.

JACKSON INDIA PALE ALE (IPA)

Available year round (62IBU) (ABV 6.8%) This IPA is a different soul from the Pale Ale. Powered by a zesty hop characteristic with big citric tones giving it a high bitterness. The color is a reddish amber. This is a great beer with moderate to medium body with a balancing malt backbone.

AMOSKEAG PILSNER

Available year round (40IBU) (ABV 5.0%) It is light straw to golden color and crystal clear. Hops are very prevalent with a spicy floral flavor and aroma, notably one of the defining characteristics of the Saaz hop. This pilsner is smooth and crisp with a clean malty palate. The archaic yeast characteristics bring through very mild orange and fusel (rose like alcohol) flavors and aromas.

BOOTT PORTER

Available year round (33IBU) (ABV 5.0%) This Porter is a dark style of beer well –hopped made with brown malt and chocolate. It is deliciously smooth and creamy with defining cocoa aromas. Just a well-rounded beer.

PENACOOK STRONG ALE

(41IBU) (ABV 7.3%) A good medium bodied beer with a hoppy aroma but with a little bit more punch. The sweet brown malts and caramel balance this beer out.
