Bert's Better Beers' Draft Pick(s) of the Week:

BURN THE SHIPS

THE SMOKED IPA | 7.0% ABV

Named after the bold tactic of legendary military leaders, BtS is an IPA brewed with cherry-wood smoked malt and four varieties of hops, giving it a unique & complex flavor which balances to perfection. Just like the mantra itself, BtS is an intimidating proposition up front...yet found to be addictively fulfilling after the first taste.

TABULA RASA

APRICOT AMBER ALE | 7.5% ABV

In the late 1600's, John Locke had a "crazy" idea: maybe we're all born with the same blank mind, and it's our life experiences that truly define who we are. At the time, this was a radical idea, as one's bloodline was thought to be the key factor in determining defining one's life (ie: Divine Right of Kings). He coined the term "Tabula Rasa;" Latin for "Blank Slate."

He then fled England, banished for his thoughts. His idea, however, grew to inspire our Founding Fathers, resulting in the American Revolution.

An Amber style ale that is delicately balanced with caramel, honey and fruit flavors that give it a strong, pronounced amber color. It is designed to confuse the senses while warming the soul. Tabula Rasa is in a category all its own.
