The Soul Brother Show Featuring Rahsaan Patterson

There was a time when  you could turn on the radio and listen to issues that were affecting the community. When I created The Soul Brother Show, not only did I want to play good music and entertain people, but I also wanted to use this platform to express myself and to allow artists the chance to speak when it came to serious topics of the day. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a very special presentation of The Soul Brother Show - The Home of Heavy Soul and Raw Funk. This one is near and dear to my heart because it features an in depth interview with my good friend Rahsaan Patterson who is here to talk about a very serious topic and that is sexual abuse.

Statistics show that every two minutes, someone is sexually assaulted in the United States. Each year, there are about 213,000 victims of sexual assault. If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual assault, know that you are not alone and that there is help. You don't have to be silent anymore. For more information, please contact RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network) at 1-800-656-HOPE or online at rainn.org.

Special thanks to Rahsaan for taking the time to share his story and to RAINN for their dedication to fighting this epidemic.
