On this weeks RIPEcast we are featuring a guest mix from San Francisco's DJ Celeste. This is a live mix from the recent Loveboat Halloween event in San Francisco. Here is a bit about DJ Celeste. @celeste-learHailing originally from Los Angeles but residing in the Bay Area off and on for 10 years, DJ Celeste Lear is a professional mobile event DJ who owns her own 6,000watt sound system and has run sound for and DJ'd hundreds of events, including over 200 weddings - but - this is really just the tip of the iceberg for Celeste whose sonic history runs deep and includes, possessing a degree in sound engineering and operating her own recording studio, 6 album releases on her own indie label, 50+ original song placements on film, commercial & television, plus a steady 15+ years history of consistently pushing the perameters in the music production & DJ world with her own unique vision for music. Another interesting note is that Celeste is deaf in her right ear from a car accident since she was 16, but does not let this handicap come in the way of her and her quest to ROCK THE WORLD!!! Recent highlights include, DJing at Outside Lands, Public Works, Love Boat Halloween as well as regular gigs for corporate clients such as Apple, Google, MOMA, Dell and StubHub.
