We’ve talked about the importance of setting big goals, and following through with even bigger action. However, setting big goals doesn’t come with a no-strings-attached guarantee. Setting big goals will push you out of your comfort level, and force you to take unprecedented amounts of action to achieve them. These goals can seem hard to imagine, and even unachievable at times. It might take you years to reach them. Building a real estate empire, achieving financial freedom, or any other big goal you might set can seem daunting, and even frightening. That’s normal. In fact, if you’re goals don’t scare you then they’re probably not thinking big enough. It may seem that victory is in the distant future. It might as well be on another planet. But don’t let your big goals get you down. If you’re doing something every single day that progresses towards your goals, then that in itself is a victory, and one you should count. These little victories add up. Add enough of them up and you will have accomplished what you never thought you would. “Success is rarely the result of one swell swoop, but more often the culmination of many, many small victories.” – Joseph M. Marshall III If you don’t count the small wins, then it may seem like you aren’t making any progress towards your big goals. Some people can’t see past the small wins and give up altogether. Keep pushing. Keep doing the small things that put you one step closer to your goal.
