In that time he was largely responsible for the arrest and conviction of Nicky Barnes who was an African-American crime boss that controlled the heroin trade in the 1970\\u2019s. Nicky Barnes was portrayed by Cuba Gooding Jr. in the movie American Gangster. Lou sets the story straight about that movie and it\\u2019s portrayal of Nicky Barnes and Frank Lucas.
