This week\'s episode #225 we discuss charity with Chris Brandt from Music Heals Canada.

We discuss how artists can give back, and furthermore, how that is beneficial for them and their promotion.

We have found that artists can do a lot to support their favourite cause, and many of those ways don\'t involve money out of the artist\'s pocket.

Picking a charity that provides a promotional arm to the artists, and gives back in terms of promoting the artist\'s releases and tours, is a new opportunity.

The media often doesn\'t want to hear about another new artist touring through their city. However if the artist initiates their press push with a charity angle, it gives the media something to write about and often results in ink that the artist wouldn\'t normally receive.
