In 1947, Pilot Kenneth Arnold observed a series of strange objects flying over Mount Rainier, Washington... and once the story made its way into American newspapers, a new cultural phenomenon was born. However, does the history of unidentified aerial phenomena really begin in 1947, or are there deeper historical threads that point to an earlier presence of the phenomenon?

Joining us this week are researchers David Marler and Barry Greenwood, two of the foremost experts on historical documentation of the UFO phenomenon.
