Friday, April 24, 1964. Lonnie Zamora, a police officer in Socorro, New Mexico, was chasing a speeding motorist when he heard a loud roaring noise, accompanied by what he described as a peculiar flame in the sky. As he watched the object descend, the officer veered off the highway onto a gravel road, and went to investigate. What happened next resulted in one of the most widely-discussed UAP incidents of all time.\\xa0
