Wal-Mart Helps Raise $20,000 through Partnership
\\n\\n\\nwith Muscular Dystrophy Association
\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\u201cBowl for a Cure Challenge\\u201d fund-raiser and store grants each contribute to grand total
\\n\\n\\n\\n\\n\\nSTRATFORD, NJ (June 8, 2008) \\u2013 Ten hours of non-stop bowling means more funding for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and ever-lasting pride for Wal-Mart associates.
\\n\\n\\nWal-Mart\\u2019s Market 279 \\u2013 of Southern New Jersey \\u2013 recently teamed with the MDA to host \\u201cBowl for a Cure Challenge,\\u201d at La Martinque Lanes in Stratford, where market team members bowled for 10 straight hours to earn pledges from corporate sponsors.
\\n\\n\\nStores within the market contributed $10,000 from their community grant funds to the MDA, while sponsors of the event matched the donation \\u2013 pledging $1,000 for each hour associates bowled \\u2013 bringing the grand total to $20,000.
