The White House on April 30 released a \u201cNational Security Memorandum on Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience.\u201d According to the White House, the memo marks the beginning of a new comprehensive initiative to safeguard U.S. infrastructure against current threats and those on the horizon. The Department of Homeland Security is tasked with leading this effort\u2014through coordination with other federal agencies, states and localities, and private-sector actors.
