This week,\xa0Ambassador Shivshankar Menon, India's former national security advisor and former Foreign Secretary,\xa0gave a keynote address this week at Brookings entitled, \u201cIndia\u2019s Role in the World.\u201d In his address, Ambassador Menon discusses the new optimism in U.S.-India bi-lateral relations on the heels of newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s recent visit. Ambassador Menon also delves into India\u2019s relations with Pakistan and other countries in the region, its evolving outlook on China, and how India and the United States can forge new ties on counterterrorism and defense cooperation.
