57. At What Cost?

If your neighborhood just burned down, and they've been trying to buy you out for years, and you haven't even found your dead; your kin in the ashes; your neighbors in the debris, everything you've ever known is gone, many of the people you've know are gone, your place of work is gone, your vehicle is gone, your clothes are gone, and someone comes along and offers you 3x what your property is worth if you will just sell it too them and not come back to your home, your town, which is now a grave yard. ...What do you do?

And now, Kolowna B.C. is threatened by fire, and Yellowknife N.T. is being completely evacuated before the one road becomes impassable because the fires are now 5 miles from burning a bridge on that very road. I thought Hawaii and Canada, particularly B.C. were at the forefront of environmentalism and they would thus be impervious to "climate disasters"? Canada has burned at both coasts this year and Washington burned the last 6 years. And yet, the leadership in these places preaches to the world about how their progressive green agendas will save us all from the very disasters their own constituents are suffering through.
