Amanda Thirsk was Prince Andrew's trusted aid for close to a decade.

She started working for him in 2011 after he was forced to step down as trade envoy and was integral in helping him make the transition.

That relationship lasted up until the ill fated BBC interview with Emily Maitlis.

Thirsk played a huge role in Andrew taking the interview in the first place and when things exploded in Andrew's face, her fate was sealed.
