On today’s show we’ll discuss the pluses of buying food locally, wherever you are! I’ll chat with Maria Postell, a Gestalt Psychotherapist, entrepreneur, and professional singer who currently shares her time between NYC and the Dominican Republic. We’ll also talk with New Jersey local health food store owner, Fred Shafer, about his quest to offer natural foods to the community since 1974. Gestalt Psychotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner, Maria Postell, is a respected corporate mentoring and knowledge sharing expert who is passionate about helping people succeed and prosper. In 2008, Circulation Management Magazine awarded her an Audience Development All-Star for her accomplishments in developing and managing highly successful Mentorship Programs for over 12 years. Maria is also certified in Whole Brain Creativity Assessments (NBI), giving organizations knowledge in maximizing individual team, leadership and organizational performance. Maria's passion for entrepreneurial living and taking on new challenges has catapulted her through new experiences and adventures. She began her career as a professional singer, recording two CD's and performing throughout the U.S, Canada, and the Caribbean Islands. As a successful accessory designer, the fashion world took note of Maria rather quickly. Her designs, Flamin' Mamies and Genie Wraps were featured in Harper's Bazaar, Seventeen Magazine and Y&M and sold in Bergdorf Goodman, SAKS, and on QVC TV.
