Dr. Allan Kornberg Speaks up for Good Health!

b"Today we\\u2019ll talk about nutritious food choices with Dr. Allan Kornberg, M.D. who \\u201cSpeaks up for Good Health!\\u201d We\\u2019ll discuss Dr. Kornberg\\u2019s work urging the USDA to include non-dairy sources of calcium and other healthy plant-based foods as alternatives in the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which serve as a model for healthy eating and food-related public policy in the U.S. Dr. Kornberg is Executive Director of Farm Sanctuary. A lifelong animal advocate, Dr. Kornberg formerly served as the U.S. Executive Director of the World Society for the Protection of Animals, and has worked with numerous other advocacy groups, including the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. He has also had a distinguished career as a pediatrician with more than 25 years of clinical and executive experience, having served as Senior Vice President for the National Initiative for Children's Health Quality, CEO of Network Health, Medical Director of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Executive Director and Medical Director for the physician-hospital organization at Scottish Rite Children's Medical Center, and Chief of Emergency Medicine at Buffalo Children's Hospital.
