Right after this special of EWF aired, we lost legend Maurice White.. our hearts are indeed saddened and we are thankful for the life and musical contributions of this great man.

Today is the second day of our "Legends" series for Black History Month and so we will highlight possibly the greatest band there ever was, EWF! Yep, that's right, Maurice White, Verdine White, Philip Bailey, Ralph Johnson and the rest. They been going strong for over 45 years now and have not let up.. if you have ever marched in a school band (like me), trust me, you played some EWF, for countless artists and orchestras today yet envy the HORNS of EWF.
